PRTV Coating

PRTV Coating
Upon curing of the PRTV anti-pollution flashover coating on insulator surfaces, it forms a silicone

rubber layer. The silicone resin contained in this layer exhibits strong hydrophobic properties. It is

able to convert water films into discrete droplets and encapsulate contaminant particles. This

renders the surface water-repellent and inhibits leakage currents by preventing the formation of

conductive pathways. MNS Group`s PRTV anti-pollution flashover coatings are primarily used for insulators in substations, transmission lines, power plants, and other electrical equipment exposed to external environments. The coating is applied to porcelain or glass insulators. Upon curing, it creates a composite structure that effectively eliminates the occurrence of pollution flashovers.

Proper application of the coating can guarantee normal grid operations for over 10 years without

requiring cleaning or maintenance. This significantly reduces long-term maintenance costs and

indirect power losses for utilities. Most importantly, it helps ensure the safe and reliable delivery of

electric power to end users.
